After a turnover filled first 10 minutes, Maryland settled down and put 16th Seeded Coppin State away early in the 2nd half.  ACC Player of the Year, Crystal Langhorne shot 8-13 from the field and added 12 rebounds.  Nebraska is up next on Tuesday night at the Comcast Center.  On the men’s side, the ACC is down to one team in the Sweet 16, albeit powerhouse North Carolina.  It’s funny how last year, Maryland was criticized for all the … Read More »

As Gary said in his post game comments, the loss to Syracuse was a microcosm of the season  The Terps finished at 19-15 but in several games including last night’s they dominated early only to turn in a flat uninspiring performance down the wire. The zone thoroughly frustrated Maryland as the game wore on.  Greivis had a quiet game yet still turned in 8 points and 8 assists.  Freshman Cliff tucker and Braxton Dupree turned in strong … Read More »

Gary mixed up the starting lineup tonight essentially going with 3 guards (Hayes, Greivis, and Bowie) and it seemed to work in a 10 point over a vastly inferior Minnesota team. Grivis scored a quiet 16 points and Bambale had 14. It is hard to believe the Gophers were actually favored over the Terps!!! Next up Syracuse Thursday night at 7PM.  The Lady Terps (30-3 on the year) earned a #1 seed out west based on their incredibly … Read More »
