55. South Dakota State Jackrabbits
The experienced Jackrabbits boast three senior guards in their starting lineup, and all three are happy to feed freshman big Mike Daum, who gobbled rebounds on both ends, shot 82.2 percent from the free throw line and drew 7.7 fouls per 40 minutes this season.

Never seen them play–barely knew they existed

from Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com

Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Mike Wallace said he signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday because Baltimore offers a better opportunity and a better quarterback.

Wallace, who was released by the Vikings last week, chose the Ravens over a handful of interested teams, saying he wanted to play for a quarterback like Baltimore’s Joe Flacco who could play to his strength and throw the ball deep.

What Happened: Maryland blitzed Princeton 17-5

Takeaway: Let’s face it: Maryland has become a team that everyone loves to hate. Primarily, lacrosse fans feel the Terps play too slow and conservative for the amount of talent they have on the offensive end. This wasn’t the case this past Saturday against Princeton. Just seven seconds into the game, face-off man Austin Henningsen got the party started with a quick goal. Fifty ticks later Matt Rambo (1, 1) tickled the twine. … Read More »

Key Bench Players

G Jared Nickens (5.3 PPG, 2.1 RPG)
C Damonte Dodd (3.1 PPG, 2.9 RPG)
C Michal Cekovsky (2.5 PPG, 2.0 RPG)

Biggest strength: When it comes to pure basketball talent, Maryland’s starting five compares favorably to any in the country. Sulaimon is quick and aggressive. Layman is smooth, long and strong. Carter can do just about anything that’s asked of him. And there’s a reason Stone could be a lottery pick in … Read More »

Maryland is a 8 1/2 point favorite against its 1st opponent South Dakota State Friday at 430

The Terps are in the South Regional and should they survive the 1sr 2 rounds their opponent most likely would be Kansas, the #1 seed.

Not happy about Spokane because it’s an $1100 round trip flight which will prevent a … Read More »

When the Baltimore Ravens are on the clock in this year’s 2016 NFL Draft, GM Ozzie Newsome and his scouting department will be under tremendous pressure to select players that can come in and contribute right away.  With the Ravens missing the playoffs 2 out of the last 3 years, and sporting just a 23-25 regular season record since their Super Bowl victory over the 49ers, owner Steve Bisciotti has to be running out of patience.

Along with the Ravens faithful … Read More »

Comments on an offensive display by the men today:

Colin Heacock has come into his own. 3 goals today and he is now using his physicality and rocket shot to help lead the Terps attack

UMBC transfer Pat Young looked great today with 2 goals

Princeton’s lack of interior defense and mistake filled offense created this blowout today

Next up Albany

The ladies were in a back and forth battle until finally pulling away late in the 2nd half.

Comments made before and after this loss:

Winning this tournament is one of the 3 big goals every year–no it’s like winning a Natty but it’s damn good

I REALLY thought the Terps would win this game which I said on the Maven Show this morning

Defensively the Terps were great–no one on MSU shot well in the 2nd half as Sparty was held to 23 POINTS
