Sophomore David Kocher of the Maryland men’s golf team was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week for the first time in his career Wednesday.
Kocher, who is ranked No. 18 in the country, finished tied for fourth in the individual standings. He shot a combined score of 210 (71-68-71), which was -6 overall.

Seniors Bryan Cole and Greg Danseglio have been named Big Ten Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, as announced by the Big Ten Conference Tuesday.
The pair of seniors were instrumental in the Terps’ season-opening 15-10 victory against High Point which included 11 second half goals.
