As I have said repeatedly, there was just no way Taylor wasn’t going to win the award again. She was far and away the best player in Women’s lacrosse in the country and arguably one of the best ever. Taylor finished the season with: 100 points (63 goals, 37 assists) and ranked in the top five in draw controls (143) and points per game (4.55). She also was eighth in caused turnovers with 36.

For those unfamiliar with the format of an NCAA Baseball Tournament Regional, it consists of 16 four team pods who play in a double elimination format. Simply put, this means you play until you win the region or lose two games whichever occurs first.
