Paul Kruger—5 years 40 million? by the Cleveland Browns—let’s see how many sacks he has without Tsizzle by his side. Possible replacement–Courtney Upshaw

Dannell Ellerbe—Miami 5 years 35 million by the Dolphins. Thids leaves a gaping hole in the Ravens defense as Ellerbe had 89 tackles and 4.5 sacks last year. Thinking that Manti Teo might be a bit of a stretch to replace Dannell

Philadelphia doesn’t have deep lacrosse roots, but they have grown very strong, very quickly.

As far as our records can show (and that’s all I have to go on, so I apologize if I missed anyone), Maryland first tapped into the Philadelphia area way back in 1951 when midfielder Tom Lillis came to College Park. There was a bit of a gap until the next Philly-area product showed up in the form of goalie Rich … Read More »

My take: This article in the Sun reiterates what Coach Pietramal said on Terp talk Thursday night that there is a panel considering the future home of Hopkins lacrosse. Though The Big East and the ECAC are also are mentioned, it’s the Big 10 that would make the most sense for Hopkins.  Joining Maryland, Rutgers, emerging powers Ohio State and Penn State, as well as Michigan would give this potential powerhouse conference the Automatic qualifier. Wednesday night I commented to Coach Turgeon that the press was successful against Carolina, he then proceded to criticize the effectiveness of our press. I had a feeling that his answer was a disguise for the implementation of a more pressing type defense. Sunday night the press invigorated the entire squad early on and Maryland probably had it’s best half of the season, leading 32-19 at the break.  But that was that.

It was almost like we allowed UVA so … Read More »

It was obvious the Terrapins were antsy after having the UMBC game canceled on Wednesday. As has been the case this year they dominated early and gained a 4-0 lead and never looked back. Charlie Raffa won 150f 18 faceoffs and that was that.

Nine different Terps scored as kevin Cooper, Joe LoCasio, Mike Chanenchuk, and Owen Blye each scored twice. Leading 12-4 after 3 periods, coach Tillman cleared the bench which provided an interesting 4th quarter. Backup goalie Kyle … Read More »
