Katie Schwarzmann and Kelly McPartland were tabbed to the 25-player U.S. Women’s National Training Team roster, announced today.
Schwarzmann and McPartland will join former Tewaaraton winner and current assistant coach Caitlyn McFadden on the squad as they train with Team USA in preparation for the July 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup in Oshawa, Ontario.
Maryland is the only program to have two current players on the roster. McPartland is the youngest player on the squad.

Tenth-ranked Jimmy Sheptock placed second at 184 pounds to lead a group of over 20 Maryland wrestlers Sunday at the Nittany Lion Open at Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State University. Approximately 500 wrestlers from over 30 teams competed in the annual tournament which featured many of the nation’s top grapplers.
