This much I am sure–we have a flat out stud on the O’s –Matt Wieters. His 2 run double is the kind of clutch hit that has vanished from the O’s for over a decade.
There were no Maryland players taken in the 2012 NFL Draft, but three former Terps signed free-agent deals, according to multiple reports. Running back Davin Meggett was one of 21 players signed by the Houston Texans. Defensive back Cameron Chism signed with the Indianapolis Colts and DB Trenton Hughes inked a deal with the Miami Dolphins according to his twitter account. from umterps.com
Baltimore Raven—–Overall B Needs B- Value B+
Top needs: G/C, OLB, WR, S, DL
Summary: The Ravens had a great weekend. Any time you move out of the first round, still get a guy with first-round talent, and he happens to fill your biggest need, you’re happy. Courtney Upshaw isn’t a gifted pass-rusher, but he does exactly what Jarret Johnson did, sealing the edge against the run. He plays with relentless energy and … Read More »

— I don’t care what anyone says–why was derrick Rose in the game with 1 minute left and the Bulls holding a 12 point lead. ACL injury— gone for the year —Bulls now are virtually eliminated
—Friday Washington was celebrating the addition of RG#. Football is everything in DC. But then for whatever reason the Redskin hierarchy decided to bust the bubble by selecting QB Kirk Cousins in the 4th round. Great–controversy and the kid hasn’t been to practice yet. … Read More »
Baltimore Ravens
The picks: OLB Courtney Upshaw at No. 35, G Kelechi Osemele at No. 60, RBBernard Pierce at No. 84
Summary: The Ravens moved out of the first round but still managed to get a first-round player at No. 35 overall. Upshaw will seal the edge as a 3-4 outside linebacker in this system, and can immediately step in and fill the role vacated by Jarret Johnson, himself a former member of the Crimson Tide. Osemele isn’t a remarkable value … Read More »
Great start of the season for the Bayhawks tonight!!! Dave Cottle said after the game that Mt St Mary’s Goalie, TC DiBartolo had earned the start with his efforts in practice and he certainly came through. Formet Terrapin Grant catalino opened up the game with 2 howitzer shots giving the Lizards a 2-0 lead but Coach Cottle moved Spallina over to cover Grant and from that point on the Bayhawks dominated. The Bayhawks were missing fogo specialist Alex Smith, as … Read More »
Several Points about this game on Senior Day:
Terps move to 8-4 on the season. A win next week at Colgate should insure the Terps of a home game in round 1 of the NCAA tournament
Charley Raffa is showing why he was considered the #1 fogo in the nation last year. Splitting the face-offs with Curtis Holmes will benefit the team
The Terps were certainly flat in the 2nd half actually getting outscored.
Michael Shakespeare’s game continues to pick … Read More »
