Anxiously awaiting Wednesday night–here is my take on Sunday’s game
Moral victories stink but I’ll take this one. The Terps continued to have those spells of no offense but basically they fought to the end, and kept the game very close. there was not an ounce of quit on the court.
Len, Stoglin and Moseley had the 49 I thought it would be necessary to win but PeShon and Nick were quiet scoring. Alex had a double double (12,11) but … Read More »
She did it again!!! Down by 2 with 3 seconds left, Alyssa drove the bucket and made a difficult reverse layup to send the game into OT. The Terps dominated OT to win 78-72.Lynetta Kizer seems to be getting her game back scoring 10 with 6 rebounds. The Terps move to 16-0 and 3-0 in conference play.
WIZARDS HEAD COACH FLIP SAUNDERS
“There really is not much to say, disappointment, embarrassment. I do not know if words can explain. We are trying to find out what we can do to get them going. I thought Trevor Booker played with passion and played hard. We have to get everybody playing like that.”
Can you hear the whispers. This was a disaster today. Listen I always have been passionate about the Wizards but today was unbelievable. I agree that … Read More »
Second-ranked Josh Asper defeated seventh-ranked Peter Yates and 13th-ranked Kyle John recorded his team-high sixth fall as No. 13 Maryland topped No. 15 Virginia Tech, 25-10, to improve to 10-0 Sunday evening at Cassell Coliseum.
After the Hokies claimed seven points from the first three matches, the Terps won six consecutive matches to secure a conference victory in Maryland’s ACC opener. “The guys wrestled with the right attitude and the results showed,” said head coach Kerry McCoy. “It’s great to keep rolling and … Read More »
First the women will face the Tar Heels at 1PM. The terms are coming off a thrilling come from behind (20 points) victory Friday night against Georgia Tech. Alyssa Thomas performed like the All American that she will bethis year. But against the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill is always difficult. To be a Final Four contender you need to win your share of roadies against ranked opponents. This game will be on ESPN 3.
The men face their first … Read More »
Some thoughts:
How could any one have thought that Cinci could win this game. They could not defeat a decent opponent all year. Cinci only got into at the playoffs after a myriad of chocks by several teams including the Jets.
Here’s why I am happy with the Houston win. I firmly believe that any of the 3 potential opponents could not beat the Ravens next week. But who wants to play the Steelers. Yes I believe we would have … Read More »

University of Maryland men’s lacrosse coach John Tillman announced today that All-American midfielder Mike Chanenchuk and long pole Taylor Morgan have transferred to play for the Terps in 2012.
“We’re very pleased to be adding two student-athletes with the talent and character of Mike and Taylor,” said Tillman. “Mike is an exciting, well-rounded player, who will be a welcome addition to our offensive attack and Taylor will be a nice addition into our defense.”
Sixth-ranked Christian Boley pinned West Virginia’s Nicholas Hylton with five seconds remaining in the second period to clinch the Terps’ ninth victory of the season as the Maryland wrestling team remained undefeated with a 22-15 victory over West Virginia Friday night.
Boley’s pin came after Hylton gained a 1-0 advantage with an escape to start the second period and after defending several Boley takedown attempts the match appeared to be headed to the third period. But with five seconds remaining, the … Read More »
