This was never a game from the time the Caps took a 3-1 lead in the first period. The Caps are clearly a better team and hopefully will send the Rangers home a loser  Tuesday night at the Verizon center. Ovechkin played like a man possessed on Sunday.

What else could explain the boring performance of the Caps in this series so far. Down 3-1 facing elimination Friday, the only hope the Caps have is to see if we can convince the Rangers coach to leave that idiot Sean Avery in the game. Avery is good for at least 2 penalties and that’s a pro knuclehead. So the Caps are 3-1 down and face the humiliation of 1st round dismissal.

Strange headline. Derrick Rose will never repeat Game 1 performance on Marathon day . The Celtics will coast to a 115-98 victory. Look for Paul Pierce to score 40 tonight. 

I can not invision the Caps getting swept. Ovechkin shines tonight as the Caps coast to 4-1 victory.

What a horrible playoff performance by the Caps last night. I am not a huge hockey fan but I have to admit I was a little jacked up for this game. sun-april-61  After a 5 year hiatus, the Capitals under the reign of new coach Bruce Boudreau return to the playoffs as a #3 seed.  Led by the scoring of Alex Ovechkin and the goaltending of Cristobal Huet, this sinking franchise has surged into the NHL hierarchy.  O’s fans there is hope.
