Some observations of a Big TIme Game in Downtown DC:

Sean Mosley was beyond incredible tonight, unleashing an outside shooting performance for the Terps that rivals any in memory. sean was 11-14 from the field with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 2 steals. Mr Baltimore is the real deal!!!!

Jordan Williams scored 19 points and had 12 rebounds against one of the best teams in College basketball. He is rapidly learning the college game. Remember this was only … Read More »

Jay Wright said it best–that Gary seems to have his team prepared early maybe better thenn anyone in the country. The problem is how does Maryland slow down the Nova guards. Only be dominating the boards. Everyone must rebound on Sunday. Control the boards, Greivis has a big game, Eric hits 2 or 3 long range 3s–Maryland can win. I can’t wait for this one. Also this is the last game the Terps play without Dino.

Coach Williams varied evrything last night—he barely used the full court press, went with a 4 guard offense to change the tempo of the game, used an old fashioned 1-2-2 zone that really confused Indiana, and used Jin Soo extensively off the bench in lieu of Cliff Tucker and Steve Goins.

What did Coach Crean mean when he said he was upset because it was a winnable game?

In the last 7 minutes the Terps ran the flex to perfection.

I don’t care how down the IU program is, winning in Bloomington is extemely difficult. IU is pointing to Maryland as one of its biggest games all year. I am traveling to Bloomington tonight to watch the game. I will either be blogging on terptalk.com or twittering . Indiana is led by freshman guard Maurice Creek who in the game I watched put on a stellar performance. I look for Greivis to have a big game tonight as the Terps … Read More »

—Jordan Williams and James Padgett have been inserted into the Terrapin lineup and play a crucial roll. However Gary has been forced to do this becase of the injury to Steve Goins, Jin Soo Choi.   Jin Soo came to Maryland with a history of a great 3 point shot.  When Dino comes back–he will inject the hopps  and his mid range jumper.  But more important he will handle of a ton of pressure that comes with the territory. This kid will help big … Read More »

Maryland Head Coach Gary Williams

“Cincinnati has a nice combination of guards that can dribble penetrate and then they have the ability to throw the ball inside.”

“We can’t play that way in the first half. I was pleased in the second half when we didn’t fold. I think our players will be ready to play tomorrow.”  “There aren’t many centers in the country that are as big and as quick as Gates. It looks like they’re very comfortable … Read More »

Well the matchup we have all been waiting for is finally here. Cincinnati and Lance Stephenson will be the next opponent for the Terps Tuesday night at 7PM on the deuce. Sean Mosley tied a career high tonight with 19 points.  Greivis again had a subpar night but the Terps are still winning and believe me Greivis’ offense will come around. Eric Hayes added a dozen and Landon scored 10 as the Terps found their game midway through the first … Read More »

Sean was nearly perfect tonight with 13 points and 10 assists leading the Terps to an easy victory. Some observations of Maryland’s third victory:

What a great crowd–into the game from tipoff.—17,180

It was great to see Dino Gregory on the bench in street clothes. Again I say great kid, can’t wait for his return on Dec 12.

Game in game out Landon Milbourne is always a factor. Tonight he was 9-15 from the field with a career high 24 … Read More »

From Terrapintimes.com comes the news that Dino Gregory will return to the Maryland Basketball squad on Saturday Dec 12. Dino is a great kid from Baltimore and every Terrapin fan should be excited that he will be back.  Dino will have several games to get ready for the real season –the ACC Season. It will also allow Coach Williams to bring the 2 freshmen bigs along at a more reasonable pace.

The thrill is in the air at Comcast. This is a genuinely entertaining tam to watch. Tonight after getting off to a slow start, Eric Hayes caught fire scoring 7 points in a minute and the Terps never looked back. Once again Baltimore’s Sean Mosley had a terrific all around game–stealing the ball, passing rebounding and scoring. This kid has arrived. The 2 freshman who seem to be splitting one of the big men positions combined for 12 points and … Read More »
