No slow start for the Terrps tonight. A packed house, many celebrating the Ravens great victory, have seen the Terrapins come out on fire. Landon has 2 inside buckets as tight defense is frustrating FSU.  9-5  16  min to go in 1st half

Well, finally it is here. NOW the games really count. The Terrapins are 8-4 (win over Chaminade does not count) and probably need to win 10 games to insure a NCAA bid. This task is mighty but definitely doable. Home COURT must be protected. Therefore tonight’s game is crucial. Senior guard Greivis Vasquez was among the 20 finalists announced Tuesday for the 2010 Bob Cousy Award by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The award is given to college basketball’s top point guard and is named after former Boston Celtic great Bob Cousy. VIVA Vasquez!!!! Just a near perfect performance by our Senior leader–26 points –5 rebounds and 6 assists. Landon added 24 points.  Some comments on the blowout win.

The Terps seemed like they were on a mission today, getting off to a big 1st half lead and never letting up.

Big performances form the bench today as Dino scored 11 with 8 rebounds and Adrian Bowie returned to aggressive ways driving and slashing to the hoop for 11 points.

Some observations of a very strong visiting team performance: The strength of the Tribe was no shock to the Terps.

They prepared heavily for this team. Gary commented that the game was really lost in the last 10 minutes of the 1st half audioGary after w & M.

W&M sukered the Terps into 25 attempts at a 3—When Maryland forced the penetration inside late in the game they scored at will

Greivis was stellar today scoring 26 on 12-20 shooting with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.  After the game he spoke about the need for stronger rebounding and his slow start. Greivis FAU

Landon chipped in with 19 points.

Sean Mosley sat out the game with an ankle injury but could have played if needed. Gary was saving him for a very tough William and Mary Game Wednesday night.
