That’s right –21 losses in a row on the road despite 21 points and 12 rebounds from Mr In Between Size, Trevor Booker. Montrose Christian’s Kevin Durant finished with 40 points. The Wizards play Memphis and Greivis Vasquez tonight.
I watched Greivis play last night for the Grizzlies on NBA TV. He certainly injects life into this team. Hollins called on Greivis twice both while the team was in a malaise. Vasquez responded by injecting energy immediately. When he begins to hit his 3s, he will become a force on this team.
It was with 2:43 left in a blowout win for the Memphis Grizzlies but Greivis Vasquez entered the game and began his NBA career. We shall
follow closely.
I guess Greivis’ NBA Summer league stats don’t look so bad now that we know he was playing with an ankle injury. Senor Vasquez was running the show last night and was obviously very comfortable in Memphis’ 66-65 loss in the Summer League. Greivis found his long range shooting touch nailing 3 threes.
The Wiz blacked out Greivis’ first game with Memphis. It will be shown Tuesday morning at 10AM. Greivis played 17 minutes with 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. John Wall again led the Wizards with his stellar play. His court sense is incredible, scoring 18 with 10 assists. Caner Medley dropped in 17 for the Clippers, nailing 3 threes. The more I watch Wall, I just can’t see how Gilbert will be able to coexist with the Rookie.
