I think Maryland needs to follow a similar blueprint that got them to the final 4 in 2002. 4 man big man rotation. Padgett, Williams, Goins, and Gregory. Padgett and Williams will be a tremendous upgrade from Braxton Dupree. I don’t think you can expect Williams and Padgett to do a lot offensively particularly early in the season, but they need to play defense, rebound on both ends, alter some shots, block some shots and be able to catch the ball down … Read More »
Jim Terp 70 in the forum last night mentioned that I did not include Kim in the analysis of the 2009-10 Terrapin Basketball squad. I hope Kim has bulked up a little because the intensity and fearlessness he brings to the table are plusses for any team. Jin Soo came to Maryland with a reputation of a shooter, yet last year he never found his stroke. Gary has said the biggest adjustment a shooter has to make when he comes … Read More »
Yes it’s my biased self speaking, but let’s analyze why this team is ready to make a run. Senior Leadership prevails at he most important position-that of guard. With Hayes and Greivis, the Terps have their backcourt combo since the championship days. Bowie, Mosley , and Tucker give guard, small forward depth that the Terrapins have never had. Landon Milbourne whether playing the 3 or 4 position has another year under his belt and a tremendous character resume stemming from … Read More »

Saturday night in New York, a future Hall of Fame Coach , Gary Williams , showed up to watch Lance Stephenson and one of Maryland’s prized recruits, James Padgett. Two day later, according to the Baltimore Sun, Born Ready postpones his supposed announcement that he will be attending Kansas. Maybe Lance has been reading my blogs in Terp talk. If Sherron Collins comes back he will never see the ball. I have seen Lance play and it is … Read More »
Sherron Collins announced Saturday that he is returning to Kansas next year. Combine that fact with the fact that Gary Williams flew to New York Saturday (zagsblog.com) to watch Lance and James Padgett play their last game for Lincoln High, who went down to defeat to Rice High. I have said it before this is not done until Born Ready makes the announcement on Tuesday, but if you are reading this Lance, Sherrod Collins demands the ball, not … Read More »
