Well I guess Comcast was wrong—James hasn’t signed yet. This Coach in waiting issue has thrown the situation into chaos. I am not sure which is more complicated –if he stays or leaves. Kevin Anderson will have his hands full either way. For my money I hope he stays. And that is no criticism on the guy I voted for as ACC Coach of the Year—Ralph Friedgen.
This story has been a hot potato all day, but as of 12AM Comcast was scrolling that James Franklin has indeed accepted the Head coaching job at Vanderbilt University. This certainly ends the speculation that has probably been a negative over the past 3 or 4 years about who the head coach will be. Here are my thoughts over the selection of the University of Maryland for the Military Bowl.
My disappointment begins with the fact that 2 weeks ago my sights were on the dream of playing in the Orange Bowl as the BCS representative for the ACC.
