On Terp Talk last night, Coach Cirovski stated that the playing readiness for star striker Casey Townsend will be a game time decision. The #4 Terps host the 5-0-1 Tar Heels in a rematch of last year’s National Championship game won by Maryland. The game will be a sellout at 7000 seat Ludwig Field. Zac MacMath will be back in the goal after sitting out the St Peter’s game in which the Terps won 1-0.

Sasho Cirovski was barely upset Friday after the 2-0 loss to UCLA> The Terps clearly outplayed the Bruins but just could not find the net. 48 hours later all is well ast Ludwig Field as the Terps needed to go into overtime to defeat Cal 2-1.Herick tallied both goals in a game played ina driving rainstorm. Again the Terps dominated the shots on goal.
Let’s not panic!! The Terrapin Men’s Soccer Team thoorughly outplayed the Bruins Friday night but were unable to convert on about 6 excellent scoring opportunities in the 1st half. UCLA made its defensive adjustments at halftime, hung around , and then in a mad scramble off a corner kick, scored the first goal. #11 Casey Townsend was clearly the best player on the field yet was unable to convert many chances. For College soccer fans, it doesn’t get much better then this. The 4-0 Lady Terrapins take on Santa Clara at 5 PM tonight to be followed by the Defending NCAA Champion Men’s Team , #1 in the nation, playing against #19 UCLA. On the show, I predicted the blossoming of a future superstar, Casey Townsend. watch him #7 tonight.
The Maryland soccer team and the Eagles of American University played to a 1-1 draw on an extremely hot Sunday afternoon in Washington DC. The Terps got on the board first in the 15th minute. Though dominating the game, the Maryland Soccer Terrapins needed a score from sophomore Sean Flatley with 40 seconds remaining to send the game into OT.
