The Terps exploded after the start of the 2nd half to a 38-32 lead but after Coach K tongue lashing to the Blue Devils , Duke stormed back and dominated the rest of the game. Little used sub, Tyler Thornton came off the bench for Duke with 3 steals, took 2 charges and provided much needed energy to the #1 team in the land. Jordan was his usual excellent self tonight nailing his 9th double double in a row–with 23 … Read More »

It was great to cover a game for Maryland last night after the week of Coaching conjecture. The Men’s bball team responded with a crushing defeat of the Highlanders from New Jersey. Maryland was coming off a 10 day break after it’s opening ACC loss to BC.  Gary place Pe”shon in the starting lineup giving Cliff Tucker a seat on the bench for but a few minutes. Gary said … Read More »

Tonight we will learn much more about the 2010-11 Terrapin squad. Gary has chosen to stay with his upperclassmen as starters but should they slump the hook will be quick. BC is off to a good start despite an improbable loss to Yale at Chesnut Hill. Wins over Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Providence, and UMass highlight a 7-2 record. Reggie Jackson and Joe Trepani lead the way for he Eagles. YES I AM PUMPED UP. The real season begins today. look … Read More »

Williams Post UNCG I give the Maestro credit—he remains loyal to those who have always been good to him. After a really weak game against Temple, gary contemplated a change or 2 but decided to stay with the status quo as far as the starting lineup goes. Adrian Bowie responded with an excellent game scoring 15 on 4-5 shooting.Cliff Tucker scored 13 on 5-10 shhoting. Once again Jordan Williams got a 2bl–2bl with 23 and 13.

Look for Coach Williams to tweak the starting lineup tonight perhaps in an effort to fire up his 4 slumping upperclassmen. I am just speculating but I would not be shocked to see Terrell Stoglin enter the starting lineup tonight. I would also not be shocked to see the same 5 that has started every game. Stay tuned. The starters have really not played that bad at home. Jordan Williams must get some offensive help.

How can this be our 8th loss in the last 10 BB&T games? I am inclined to have give a positive spin on last night’s game. Pe”Shon Howard and Terrell Stoglin are flat out bball studs. They brought this team out of the doldrums and gave the Temple backcourt fits. Stoglin has that look for scoring. He looks for his shot and is not afraid to take it. The starting lineup is severely lacking that go to situation. Only through … Read More »

POST GAME REPORT

This game was not pretty. Elon featuring Fr Guard Jack Isenbarger, shot out to 15-5 lead and hung on to a 3 point halftime lead.  Sean Mosley then ignited a Terrapin run featuring, all the intangibles Sean brings to the table.  After 2 games against smaller opponents, the Terps finally got the ball inside to Jordan Williams for easy buckets.  With 9 minutes to go a … Read More »

Everyone has said it —this is a stiff test for the Terrapins. Though the height adantage belongs to the Terps, this is a well schooled team that defeated North Carolina last year. The infusion of so many new players into the lineup will be tested tonight. Here is Charleston’s projected starting lineup:

PROJECTED COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON STARTERS (*2009-10 Statistics)
#1 Donavan Monroe, G, 6-3, 205, Sr. (12.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.0 apg, 32.4 min)
#3 Andrew Goudelock, G, … Read More »

Yes I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Mr Baltimore. When you meent Sean you can’t help but like him. He always has a smile on his face and seems glad to see you  and proud that you recognize him. On the court, he might be one of the most versatile Terrapins in a long time. He is 100% unselfish or maybe you can say his only goal is for his team to win. He has … Read More »

Cliff Tucker has done some great things. The shot he hit against Georgia Tech was one of the best shots in my 22 years here. He’s had other games where he’s been a dominant player.

Adrian Bowie has done some really good things. If you remember the second half of the Duke game here last year, without Adrian, we don’t win that game. He’s all ready to go. He is excited to play.

Dino Gregory had a … Read More »
