Casey Townsend is rounding into format just the right time. Casey and Drew Yates each scored in the 1st half and the Terps went on to defeat Loyola and move into Round 2 Sunday at Penn State.
A more confident and dominant Terrapin team came out in the second half to defeat Old Dominion, 84-67, Thursday night in Comcast Center. Freshman forward Diandra Tchatchouang helped lead the No. 20 Maryland women’s basketball team to its third straight victory in less than a week with a career-high 22 points. Bob “Turtle” Smith ’63, former University of Maryland baseball player, and his wife, Carol B. Smith have stepped up to the plate and hit a grand slam by making a major seven-figure commitment to Maryland Athletics. In honor of their gift, Maryland’s baseball stadium has been renamed Shipley Field at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium.

terrapintimes.com reports that the return of Goins and Choi will be much sooner then we thought. The added big man depth that Goins provide is a tremendous plus for the Terps
Let’s see King James has 12 points and 7 assists inthe 1st quarter. The guy owns the Verizon Center.Antawn is back and had 13 in the first quarter—Cavs 35 Bullets 22. Randy Foye also returned to the lineup tonight, so the Wiz basically have their opening day lineup back. Despite a poor start, I believe they will be fine.
