Senior Billy Cortes scored a goal and added an assist to lift the second-seeded Maryland men’s soccer team past Clemson, 2-1, in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Championship Wednesday at WakeMed Soccer Park.
After his goal in the ninth minute provided Maryland (15-2-1) with an early lead and boost of momentum, Cortes assisted on Casey Townsend’s game-winner at the beginning of the second stanza to spark the Terps to the semifinals for … Read More »
Everyone has said it —this is a stiff test for the Terrapins. Though the height adantage belongs to the Terps, this is a well schooled team that defeated North Carolina last year. The infusion of so many new players into the lineup will be tested tonight. Here is Charleston’s projected starting lineup:

Ochocinco, the heart of the Bengals has vanished under TO’s arrival. Terrell Owens is playing great as the ship sinks. He is arguing with Carson Palmer but his worst infraction is to make #85 disappear. Self destruction at its best for batman and robin. I miss the old Ocho Cinco!!!

The chip leader finally won!! Jonathan Duhamel pressured and pressured JohnRacener until he was almost forced to call with K8 off all in against Duhamel’s AJ. I watched the final heads up on ESPN3, which is what the computer is meant to be used for –obscure events that … Read More »
After tonight’s game Gary reminded everyone that this was only game one. Yes Pe”Shon and Stoglin showed why they were so highly thought of —but Seattle exposed some flaws in the Terrapins game. Yet still it is hard to believe you could score 105 points with 29 turnovers. A quick analysis of each player:
Cliff Tucker–16 points 7 … Read More »
Eleven players saw action in the first half. Mosley–strong Jordan —strong but Pe”Shon and Stoglin came off the bench to provide solid hard nose paly and the Terps somehow got to a 10 point lead. Stoglin and Pe”Shon played way above their Freshman status. They are both heady, tough as nails and willingb to go to the hole. The future bodes well for Maryland. The Terps scored 46 with 15 turnovers and 5 missed foul shots. Captain Sean Mosley had … Read More »
