This was unbelievable as all of my callers to Saturday’s Sports Maven were calling out TJ for this moment of desertion.Let’s see how it plays … Read More »
I would bet Jim Calhoun knows what his players had for dinner 6 nights ago. But he didn’t know of any of the improprieties committed by his staff. These sanctions which are very mild do not reflect well upon the AD, Jeff Hathaway as well. We all know the shake and bake (as Cavanaugh would say) that Calhoun pulled to steal Rudy Gay from Maryland. Sickening.
The Yankees outright did not want to face Cliff Lee and Texas in Round1 of the playoffs. Solution: lose the last game of the regular season to Boston. So the Yankees gave up home advantage which means very little, in order to get their patsies –the Twins. What a horrible one sided series. Judgment day awaits however as hopefully Texas can clinch without using up Cliff Lee. It’s all academic anyway —the Phillies are a machine!!!
