How is it a school from New jersey is in the Great Western Conference? The highlanders are 2-6 this year but have played their opponents tough. It seems like the team has been off for 1 month not just 10 days. Will Gary tinker with the starting lineup in the 3 games before the Terps travel to Cameron to play Duke? probably not. Will Jordan continue his dominant presence? Probably yes. Will the Terps overcome their foul shooting woes? Lets … Read More »
ESPN.com columnist Jay Bilas has included Maryland sophomore Jordan Williams among his top 25 performers in college basketball so far this season. Bilas noted the players he thought had the best performances in November and early December. “This is a narrow exercise and the focus is on the here and now,” he wrote. “This is about production, efficiency, value to one’s team and flat out getting it done on the college level.”
POST GAME REPORT
Gary was visibly upset after this game. Maryland had the lead was on the line and Cliff Tucker missed 2 free throw. This is the 2nd time this yearfree throw shooting has cost us the game. Here are some combo stats that make it seem how did we lose: the Terps shot 49.2% from the field 32-65. The Terps only had 9 turnovers. Terrell Stoglin played … Read More »
Tonight we will learn much more about the 2010-11 Terrapin squad. Gary has chosen to stay with his upperclassmen as starters but should they slump the hook will be quick. BC is off to a good start despite an improbable loss to Yale at Chesnut Hill. Wins over Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Providence, and UMass highlight a 7-2 record. Reggie Jackson and Joe Trepani lead the way for he Eagles. YES I AM PUMPED UP. The real season begins today. look … Read More »
Amare Stoudamire might just be the best player in the NBA right now. He certainly was last night. Unstoppable!!! Something is wrong with John Wall — he is not himself. He is missing wide open shots. Gilbert is the … Read More »
Ryan asked me today how in the world could Baru choose the Bobby Cremins school. It’s simple –Bobby gave a full scholarship to the son of Baru’s legal guardian. the young man and Baru are very close. End of story. What I am worried about now is that Desmond Hubert is now being looked at by Carolina. But who would want to play for Roy Smith?
Williams Post UNCG I give the Maestro credit—he remains loyal to those who have always been good to him. After a really weak game against Temple, gary contemplated a change or 2 but decided to stay with the status quo as far as the starting lineup goes. Adrian Bowie responded with an excellent game scoring 15 on 4-5 shooting.Cliff Tucker scored 13 on 5-10 shhoting. Once again Jordan Williams got a 2bl–2bl with 23 and 13.
The guy … Read More »
Look for Coach Williams to tweak the starting lineup tonight perhaps in an effort to fire up his 4 slumping upperclassmen. I am just speculating but I would not be shocked to see Terrell Stoglin enter the starting lineup tonight. I would also not be shocked to see the same 5 that has started every game. Stay tuned. The starters have really not played that bad at home. Jordan Williams must get some offensive help.
How can this be our 8th loss in the last 10 BB&T games? I am inclined to have give a positive spin on last night’s game. Pe”Shon Howard and Terrell Stoglin are flat out bball studs. They brought this team out of the doldrums and gave the Temple backcourt fits. Stoglin has that look for scoring. He looks for his shot and is not afraid to take it. The starting lineup is severely lacking that go to situation. Only through … Read More »
Confidence must be building in the minds of Gary;s troops. after a miserable opening 5 minutes, the Terps settled down and destroyed the Nittany Lions. Here is what I loved about the win:
After watching a few of the ACC teams , there is no way the Terps aren’t in the top 4 teams in the conference. PeShon and Stoglin are getting better with each win. Stoglin’s offense is becoming really sharp. The win by 23 and having Cliff with … Read More »
