I definitely thought the Terps would win this game today but certainly not in the natter they did. As we discussed on the Sports Maven Saturday morning, QB! Danny O’Brien has lifted this team to a point where it now greatly believes in itself. My guest host Marc Appel clearly made the point that with a strong smart QB you will likely be in every game. Danny is a true leader and remember he is only in his ist season … Read More »
It’s all in front of the Terps tomorrow afternoon at 3:30. It is a game Maryland is favorite and should winn. Wake is reeling from a 5 game losing streak. Several Bowl Officials will be present as the Terps go for their bowl eligible 6th victory. It’s ahrd to imagine the same team that went 2-10 last year should end tomorrow at 6-2 with a monster matchup looming in Miami next week. the differenc: QB1 Danny O’Brien
The Terps like the Ravens are winning ugly but the key is they are winning. Entering the Homecoming Game against Wake this Saturday at 3:30, many of the Bowl reps will be in attendance and the Terps have a chance to impress.
3 Hours and 20 minutes of excruciating ESPN3 Play By Play later the outlook is much brighter for the Terrapins. Playing inspired ball for their teammate Pete DeSouza, who is suffering from 2 broken legs, the Terps made some big defensive plays to save the game.
After 2 years the Terps utilized most of all their offensive skill weapons at the receiving position. Boykins, Dorsey, Tyler, Torrey, Cannon —Danny O’Brien had 3 TD passes and many successful 3rd down plays. … Read More »

the Washington Post reports the following:
“Pete DeSouza, a former All-Met from DeMatha and the starting right tackle at Maryland, suffered non-life threatening injuries in a campus scooter accident Thursday night, Maryland spokesperson Shawn Nestor said. According to a release issued by Maryland late Thursday, DeSouza was operating a motor scooter traveling westbound on Campus Drive when a motorist turned left in front of DeSouza. Why is this game so crucial? The Terps stand at 4-2 right now. The early season key matchup against Navy barely went our way, but it did. For this season to be deemed successful the Terps need 7 wins. The road disasters must end. With 3 home games remaining against Wake, NC State, and FSU the Terps need 2 victories—clearly against Wake and NC State. That leaves 3 road games. Miami will be tough, Virginia lately seems to have our … Read More »
I guess the Tigers are but:
3 plays were devastating for the Terps today. First the kickoff return just after we had reversed the momentum with probably our strongest drive of the year. The missed 33 yard field goal by Baltz that wasn’t even near being close. Moten dropped a clear easy interception that would have been a TD.
I know Bowers is incredible and the Terps’ offensive line might be suspect butit took 3 1/2 quareters to get a … Read More »

Well, it wasn’t pretty but the Terps held on to a hard fought victory. Tony Logan’s 85 yard punt return turned the tide Maryland’s way. Some observations of an important victory.
Everyone is expecting way too much of QB1 Danny O”Brien. He started off slow again and picked up as the game went on. Perhaps he might need to open up a little earlier in the game! For a freshman he has been playing superb. Danny was 9-26 for 170 … Read More »
