Even grizzled 12 year NFL veterans can display some degree of sentimentality. In this instance, the grizzled veteran is Ed Reed and the sentimentality is evident in his decision to re-sign with Baltimore, where he spent all but the final season of an illustrious career, so he could retire as a Raven.
Reed left Baltimore after helping the Raven win the 2012 Super Bowl. In 2013, he played for the Jets and Texans before sitting out the entire 2014 season.
The Washington Capitals travel to New York Friday night looking for a spot in the Eastern Conference finals. The Caps took a 3-1 series lead with Wednesday night’s 2-1 win at home in the Verizon Center on the strength of strong defense, a hot goalie in Braden Holtby and a pair of goals from rookie forward Andre Burakovsky.

Here’s a list of the teams on that list that won:
Add the loss by the Maryland men’s lacrosse team Thursday night and the 24 hour period, well, as Maryland students are so fond of shouting, sucks.
