As i predicted today on Press Box Live, The #1 Div III Stevenson Mustangs ended Salisbuty’s 105 game Conference win streak, winning in Salisbury 12-8. Congrats to Coach Paul Cantabene.

Opening day is Monday at 4PM vs the Yankees and for the first time in years it is an absolute sellout. Here’s hoping the starting pitching isn’t as bad as everyone says it is.

I still believe the Ravens will select Darriius Heyward Bey or NC State’s  Hakeen Nicks with … Read More »

Eric DeCosta wanted to have a look at DHB. Being less then an hour away, Eric brought his young gun, #5, down to College Park to really test the projected 1st Round receiver. Flacco was impressed with all aspects of Darrius’ game.  Look for the Ravens to make Darrius its #1 pick should he last to #26. This is doubtful, however. When Darrius clocked a 4.3 in the 40 and then followed it up with a 38 inch vertical, his stock … Read More »

Former Terrapin Domonique Foxworth, who played at Catonsville’s Western Tech,  signed a four-year deal worth $27.2 million, including $16.5 million guaranteed with the Baltimore Ravens today. Foxworth had a stellar career as a dback at Maryland which led to his draft into the NFL as a 3rd round pick of the Denver Broncos.

Everyone knows I take Terp losses real hard, so I was not in the best of moods Sunday as I drove to the stadium to watch what i thought would be a Ravens uninspired loss. This is the lesson I learned: I will never pay attention to preseason games again. #20 #22 #21 and unfortunately #86 all played (Reed, Rolle, McCallister and Heap) and the Ravens behind brilliant play stratgy from OC Cam Cameron dominated Cinci.  Flacco displayed tremendous poise … Read More »

A series of improbable events have left the Ravens with no other option then starting Rookie QB Joe Flacco this coming Sunday. The Ravens have also signed Joey Harrington who will probably be the backup for the game. Chad Ocho Cinco will play for the Bengals.  After the disaster of bringing Kyle Boller along too quickly, common sense would have dictated Boller or Troy Smith as starter, but setbacks to each have place the Ravens in a no other choice … Read More »

The 4th exhibition game is usually a 1 quarter game and the Ravens Falcons game at M&T was no exception. Joe Flacco looked sharp in sustaining a few drives. His short passes were on the money, yet he panicked when pressured.  It’s incredible that after the Kyle Boller starting disaster, the Ravens might be forced into starting #5. This time however it is injury driven. Matt Ryan was very unimpressive for the Falcons.  All in all the … Read More »

The talk is over, it’s time for Jordan Steffey to step up to the plate and connect on Satyrday.  Coach Friedgen and Coach Franklin have stuck their necks way out on the line for Jordan, now let’s see how he responds. Ex-Terp Shawne “Lights Out” Merriman has decided to play with the knee surgery in what I believe is a very unwise decision. The Ravens QB mess has worsened with the realization that Kyle Boller may be out for … Read More »

In a stunning surprise move, Coach Ralph Friedgen has chosen Senior QB Jordan Steffey to take over the helm of the Terrapin offense. “It was a hard decision,” Friedgen said. “[The coaching staff] talked about it for a long time last night. We looked at every statistic that we kept, from pass completions, yards per catch, yards after catch, interceptions, percentage of drives scoring, good practices and bad practices. We even consulted with some of the players. Really when you … Read More »
