The score of this game should have been 5-1. But thanks to a pair of sloppy errors by Karl Alzner and Tyler Sloan, this game was much closer than it needed to be. The Capitals are alone at the top of the Eastern Conference, thanks to a 3-2 overtime win last night over the Philadelphia Flyers. Regulation and two overtime periods were not enough to decide the ACC Women’s Soccer Championship, but Wake Forest took the title in a shootout over the No. 2 seed Maryland.The match, which ended 1-1 in double-overtime, is officially a tie and makes the Terps overall season record 17-2-2.
