Supposedly this was Brandon’s first offense. Maybe that’s why there was no suspension. But from now the NFL will crackdown on these unnecessary life threatening hits. If the game is changed a bit because of the new rulings –so be it. We all should accept this.

Behind a career-high seven save performance from keeper Zac MacMath, No. 3 Maryland men’s soccer extended its winning streak to six with a 2-0 shutout of Colgate Tuesday.  Juniors Kaoru Forbess and Casey Townsend provided Maryland (10-2-1, 4-1-1 ACC) with all the offense it would need as a sturdy defensive effort solidified its eighth shutout of the season. from umterps.com   pictured is Zac MacMath

“Alyssa Thomas is someone who has, from day one, prepared for this moment. She comes in with a tremendously high skill set. She can pass, she can rebound and she can make difficult shots. At 6’2, she can play a lot of different positions and pass left and right handed. She was the first person on our team to pass our conditioning test. She is someone who I think our fans are really going to enjoy when they see her … Read More »

I was so wrong. If you listened to my Saturday show, I proclaimed the Texas Rangers dead and gone after the devastating defeat they suffered Friday night. What I didn’t understand was the resolve and grittiness of the Ranger’s manager , Ron Washington. After the loss, he dismissed it as just another game and apparently his players went all in on his beliefs. With the unhittable Cliff Lee having one more start, the Yankees are in deep trouble. Too bad!

By my count out 69 plays 39 had #27 written all over it. Now after a while doesn’t it become clear who you have to overplay. The offense though still too conservative for me, was somewhat effective in the … Read More »
