North Carolina is back and put the whole package — offense, defense and toughness — on display while dismantling Marquette. Just a year after missing the NCAA party, the kids from Chapel Hill stole the show at their East Regional semifinal. Tyler Zeller had 27 points and 15 rebounds, and North Carolina took control early for a change, rolling to an 81-63 victory on Friday night at the Prudential Center. John Henson added 14 points and 12 rebounds, and … Read More »

I was not impressed by the way Butler wilted Thursday night. Shelvin Mack has been great so far but Florida’s pedigree is stronger, and the Gators will run Butler into the ground. Chandler Parsons can do it all and Florida will need a super game from him to move on.I think this will happen.

It’s hard to pick against Arizona after the Wildcats effort Thursday night but Kemba Walker is on such a roll. Derrick Williams can not play as … Read More »

It was education day for everyone in the nation but Charles Barkley. Arizona was awesome. Duke for the first time in my memory looked completely out of sorts. Kyrie Irving is fantastic but his return definitely threw the Blue Devils off kilter. Did Nolan Smith ever show up last night. The East Coast got an education in who is the best player in the land. No it’s not Kemba Walker, no it’s not Jimmer, no it’s not Nolan Smith—it is … Read More »

I guess I should have seen it coming but this hit me like a ton of bricks. Keith Cavanaugh was on the show last night for his monthly appearance and when I asked him about the future of Jordan Williams, without hesitation he said Jordan has decided that most likely even if he is a 2nd round pick he will be leaving College Park for the pros. It just seems to me to not make sense. If he was projected as … Read More »

Don’t ask me why but last night I got wrapped up in the Wizards game at the Staples Center. Only the Wizards could be up by 5–112-107 with 1;40 to play and lose in the 2nd OT 127-119. I can’t even go over how many ways the Bullets blew this game. Wall was stupendous with 32 points and 10 assists but–one more free throw with 7 seconds left in overtime 1 and the Wiz win. Oh yeah, I forgot to … Read More »

Here We Go: Florida Over BYU—Kenny Boynton will frustrate Jimmer Fredette. remember I said frustrate not shut out. Chandler Parsons will shine for the Gators tonight.

Butler over Wisconsin—I am a believer in the Indiana guys. Sheldon Mack was simply awesome against Pitt. Jon Leuer and 6’8 Keaton Nankvil have shot lights out for the badgers but….not tonight.

Uconn over San Diego State—UConn is on a roll and has the best player in the tournament. Kemba Walker has been … Read More »
