Certainly Coach K wanted to work the ball inside tonight as Singler and Plumlee have combined for 8. Jordan has 4 and has made his first 2 free throws.  Bowie on the line after several misses by both teams. 2-2   11-10 Duke. The Terps continue to pressure Duke as Jordan geta putback to put the Terps up by 1. Bowie fouls Nolan Smith who gets both 13-12 Duke 12 minutes left. Jordan 2-2 again  14-13 Terps. The place is electric. Duke received its usual reception from the students who were here when I arrived at 7PM. Bowie, Tucker and Dino are especially wired up this being their last game against Duke at Comcast. Dave Neal is on the bench watching warmups. I am sure Greivis’ heart is here somewhere. David Alridge is in the house–is there a game he ever misses?  The noise from the student body is overwhelming.

It is NOW POST TIME!!!!!!

Despite what the Dookies say this has turned into the game the nation watches in the ACC. Carolina is not the Carolina of even a few years back and when you look for what it takes to battle with Duke, Gary Williams might not have the same talent but he always has the answers. That’s why tomorrow night at 9, Steve Lavin, Tom Izzo, Bobby Knight, Dookie V, every great coach in the land will be tuned in to ESPN. Incredibly Will Yeatman is #30 at Tight end for the NFL draft. My beyt is that he gets taken ina late round and easily makes the big show. The guy is a giant but a really nice and classy guy. Great interview in Inside Lacrosse.

It is unbelievable how one play can mean so much. We all know what play I am talking about. It was the play that gave the Steelers the Division title. The play that gave Pittsburgh the bye week. And On and on and on–until the ultimate. It still sickens me.

Former Ravens coach Brian Billick, who was the Fox analyst for the Pro Bowl, talked about Lewis, saying, “One of the most unbelievable players I’ve ever been around in my career. The Ray Lewis that you see on Sunday – the passion, the energy, the intensity – that’s the Ray Lewis you get every day in meetings and in practice.” from the Sun
