terrapintimes.com reported this today. Desmond still has interest in Maryland but doesn’t want to make a move until the Tar Heels make up their ming on offering him a scholi. Not too encouraging!!!!
I can’t imagine how LSU could let Miles leave. LSU officials were meeting with Miles last night –trying to talk him into staying.
Yes it was a great game. It’s amazing that everyone froze during Michael Dyer’s game winning run. It’s just a little disconcerting that the player of the game Nick Fairley seems to be a cheap shot artist. Lee Corso corrected one of my predictions last night . I had said that the excessive timeouts worked for the offense but at second thought the timeouts slowed the game down and gave rest to the Auburn fron four that dominated the game. … Read More »
Maryland head coach Randy Edsall announced Monday that Greg Gattuso, Lyndon Johnson, David Walker and Andrew Wilson have joined the football staff. Gattuso will oversee the defensive line, Johnson will instruct the special teams unit, as well as tutoring the outside linebackers, Walker will handle running backs and Wilson will serve as the strength and conditioning coach. The former head coach of Duquesne (1992-04), Gattuso spent the last six seasons at the University of Pittsburgh. Both teams have had 5 weeks to prepare each other. This usually favors the defense. but there seems to be an infinite number of timeouts in these title games. This favors the offense. Auburn has never seen an offense that is as quick as the Ducks’. The Auburn coaching staff is meeting with the refs tomorow afternoon asking for more time for defensive substitution. Is Chizik admitting that they can’t handle the speed of the Ducks. Should be a classic!!
The Terps exploded after the start of the 2nd half to a 38-32 lead but after Coach K tongue lashing to the Blue Devils , Duke stormed back and dominated the rest of the game. Little used sub, Tyler Thornton came off the bench for Duke with 3 steals, took 2 charges and provided much needed energy to the #1 team in the land. Jordan was his usual excellent self tonight nailing his 9th double double in a row–with 23 … Read More »
What a great day for the Ravens. Please no second guessing Cam and #5 today. They were flawless as was the defense causing 5 turnovers.
Joe was spectacular today and A game for him. His qb rating was 115 and this was with constant pressure from Coach Romeo Cornell’s Chief defense. His main target was Todd heap who had 10 receptions. There is no question that when Heap is on the Ravens are a much better team.
Jamaal Charles did … Read More »
This is a tough one Sunday night. The Terps will have at point guard most of the night– one of 2 freshman, PeShon or Terrell. This is a tall task for any player let alone a freshman. Here are some things that must happen for the Terps to be competitive:
Jordan must stay out of foul trouble. Coach K will be throwing all his bigs at him. Dino must hit his little jumper to keep some of the pressure off … Read More »
I am sure no one will go into that game tomorrow overconfident. New Orleans defense was pathetic. Hasselback torched the secondary. It was great to seeBrandon Stokeley play a pivotal role. Would somebody remind me why we ever let him go. The Ravens will stop the running game of KC and win in their typical style 21-13.
