“Leach has already had discussions with potential members of a Maryland coaching staff and has the strong support of Under Armour, the Baltimore-based athletic apparel company run by a former Maryland player, sources told ESPN’s Joe Schad. Maryland considered hiring Leach after last season but it would have cost too much to terminate the contracts of Friedgen and former coach-in-waiting Franklin and hire Leach, a source told Schad. At least Gino was not his usual obnoxious self tonight at the post game presser. What amazes me about this is the margin of victory UConn usually enjoys. Gino must be a helluva coach. Maya Moore scored 41 tonight. Let’s do a home and home with them, Brenda.

Will Jordan continue his dominant presence? Probably yes. Will the Terps overcome their foul shooting woes? Lets … Read More »
Early in the year I was talking with my good friend Marc Appel who was extremely impressed with Danny O’Brien, Marc said to me that with a healthy O”Brien –Maryland would be in every game and win more then their share. Never has a prediction rung more true. The 2 pivotal games for the Terps were UVA and NC State–both winners based largely on the great play of QB1. As a result of the 8-4 record, Vanderbilt came calling for … Read More »
Shortly after Ralph was hired there was the annual Terrapin club event at Artie Donovan’s Country Club in Baltimore. I had a chance to sit down with Ralph with 6 or 7 Terrapin members. He busted out laughing and said … Read More »
