Sad news out of DC today, with the news of the Wizards owner passing away. Abe originally was one of 3 owners of the then Baltimore Bullets. The team was moved to Largo as the Capital Bullets and then became the Washington Bullets. The Wizards play Philly tonight and I am sure there will be many tributes paid. Check out Comcast at 7PM.
There is no tomorrow should the Ravens lose this Sunday night. Five games against strong opponents—5 losses, many of the gut wrenching type. I guess we can say Ravens are in a Crisis Mode—they must defeat their arch enemy at home.
Casey Townsend is back and now the team no one wants to play is back!!!! Of course we are talking about the defending NCAA Champs Sasho and the Men’s Soccer Team.
Well the matchup we have all been waiting for is finally here. Cincinnati and Lance Stephenson will be the next opponent for the Terps Tuesday night at 7PM on the deuce. Sean Mosley tied a career high tonight with 19 points. Greivis again had a subpar night but the Terps are still winning and believe me Greivis’ offense will come around. Eric Hayes added a dozen and Landon scored 10 as the Terps found their game midway through the first … Read More »
This is only my speculation, but I do believe Ralph will be given next year to begin to turn the program around. Reasons
—The turnaround time for a college football program is unlike basketball or any sport. There are so many ingredients in a College football grouping. New players would have to be rcruited because there would be defections, etc, etc..

Observation of another Ravens last second loss:
Ex-Terrapin Jared Gaither dominated All Pro Dwight Freeney —limiting him to 0 sacks.
Harbaugh’s using up 2 timeouts for a challenge possibly cost us the game.
Why did’t Flacco QB sneak again when the ball was on the 1/2 inch line.
Pull out the films from games 1,2 3 . Why is it now our entire offense revolves around just 2 players #27 and #85.
Today was the day we finally got … Read More »
The Maryland men’s soccer team captured its eighth-straight Sweet Sixteen berth Sunday as it upended No. 7 seed Penn State, 2-1, in the second round of the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship. Jason Herrick netted the game-winner with 4:05 remaining to lift the Terps against a Nittany Lion squad that was undefeated at Jeffrey Field in 2009.—from umterps.com
What a devastating way to end the season!!! Down 2-1 with 7 minutes left North Carolina threw caution to the wind, pulled their goalie and launced a frontal assault on the Terps, first tieib g the score at 2 and then winning on a penalty corner with 11 seconds remaining.I guess a 2nd place place finish and an ACC Title will haveto sufffice for a team many believe was the greatest Field Hockey team in USA history. Remember Katie O’Donnell … Read More »
