Now that everyone is doubting the Ravens remember this: The last time Brett was at M&T Bank Stadium, he was thoroughly outplayed by Kyle Boller. It was a Monday night toward the end of the season.
The ACC announced the 1:30 start time at Durham on Oct 24th. The game will be streamed on ESPN 360 . The Terps really need to have a game on the larger network not the U or 360.
For many faithful Maryland followers the start of the basketball season can’t come fast enough considering the so far disappointing campaign the football team is having. The Terps have been ranked in the pre-season top 25 by several publications. What can we look forward to and what questions need to be answered. Terp fans are anxiously looking forward to seeing freshman Jordan Williams, a 6-10 center from Connecticut and 6-8 forward-center James Padgett from New York. Can either or both … Read More »
The following is an ESPN Recruiting synopsis on Ashton Pankey—-“Pankey has traditionally been a player who impacted the game by rebounding, defending, and being active around the basket. He’s an impressive athlete with long arms, good hands, and a strong frame who finishes very well around the basket, runs the court, defends multiple positions, blocks shots, and is especially effective on the offensive glass. While his offensive skill set hasn’t shown any notable progression, his biggest development is playing with … Read More »
Over the weekend an article in the Arzona news began to speculate that perhaps PG Terrell Spoglin was reconsidering his verbal to Maryland and might open up discussions with Arizona. Yesterday terrapintimes.com interviewed the much heralded Senior and Spoglin cleared the air by saying he is definitely going to be a Terp and hopefully will sign the early committemnt letter. Some observations of the game where the many fans got their wish to see the Ravens run more.
Was Brian Billick brought back to design the offensive game plan.
The Ravens were outplayed across the board yet were in clear position to win.
When you are on the road, all you can ask for is to have the ball at the end of a game with a chance to win. Carson Palmer pulled it off. Mark Clayton dropped the ball.
Riley Skinner was throwing to receivers wide open while Chris Turner had to thread the needle constantly.
Gary Douglas was impressive Saturday. By the way the screen passes did work for the Terps.
Watching on ESPN 360 is a very small step past listening on the radio. the constant pauses and unclearness of the full sreen are very annoying.
UVA has been established as a 5 point favorite for Saturday’s game. It’s funny that last year Maryland went into … Read More »
New Jersey Power Forward, Ashton Pankey has delayed his official visit to Maryland for one week, terrapintimes.com reports. The delay is to allow all of his family to make the trip. Ashton is going into his Senior at St Anthony’s High in the Bronx. At this point, it seems like he is the target guy for the Terps.
The score was not indicative of the onesidedness of the game. That being said Chris Turner had a decent game tossing 3 TDs of his own. Some observations:
Caleb Porzel burned his redshirt as expected but was ineffective in 3 rushing attempts. Have no fear this kid will be great.
The return of Bruce Campbell to the lineup is crucial to this team. There is just no running game or pass protection without him.
Ralph had this to say … Read More »
Let’s remember what #85 has had in store in the past for the Ravens. I remember the Monday night game when he wore a special Hall of Fame Jacket. Then one time he threatened Ray Lewis calling him out before the game. I wonder if he is insane enough to jump into the stands if he scores? Look for the Ravens to take out last week’s frustrations out on Cincy.
