Last Thursday night, I had the pleasure of being at the Sports Boosters/ Press Box Night with Eric DeCosta, director of player personnel of the Ravens. To the best of my memory here is tale of the drafting of Joe Flacco.

One of the Ravens area scouts called Eric and told him to take a much closer look at Flacco, ie this scout believed Flacco was far superior then most people thought. DeCosta first watched Flacco take apart the Navy … Read More »

Some observations on Sunday’s great victory:

There are obviously some secondary problems on this team or Phil Rivers just was incredible.

Hauschka’s kickoffs are superb.

Is it me or is Willis outplaying Ray Rice?

How in the world could Mark Clayton drop that pass in the 4th quarter.

On McGahee’s 2nd TD run Jared Gaither flattened his man like a pancake.

Look out for the Jets–Rex Ryan has really motivated that team.

Chris Turner was 19-30 for 288 yds and 2 TDs–again playing well

2 fumbles in the 1st quarter led to 2 TDs and was really the reason the Terps lost

4th and 3 with 1 minute left. Here’s my take. If you kick the FG and its good, … Read More »

I haven’t purchased a pay-per-view in years but this fight seemed intriquing. When Mayweather (with Triple H by his side) and Marquez stood face to face for ring instructions, it was clear why “Money ” was so confident. Mayweather seemed to be so physically dominant it was a joke. When Marquez landed early in the fight Floyd was barely fazed. By 2 judges’ accounts , Mayweather won every round. Marquez was game and brave  but when you fight someone stronger, … Read More »
