The Titans gave Ben unlimited time to pass and wound up on the losing end of a 13-10 overtime non thriller. No one will do the Ravens dirty work for them. We must take the Steelers down ourselves. hines Ward almost blew the game for Pitt with a 4th quarter fumble.

Terrapintimess.com reported yesterday  that top 20 recruit CJ Leslie received an in school visit from Coach Gary Williams at the Word of God Acacdemy in Carolina. CJ is a 6’8″ 205 lb Power Forward and ranked #4 PF in rivals.com.

Vernon Davis obviously has righted the bad start he had with Mike Singletary. Vernon remains the toughest receiver to bring down (next to John Mackey) that I have ever seen.

Bruce Campbell is the starting left tackle.  It’s a shame speedster Caleb Porzel won’t be ready for the home opener.

Aubrey Huff was perhaps the best clutch hitter on the O’s. Even in a down year , Huff had numerous game winning hits. Last night the O’s stranded 12 without getting a timely hit. For Huff, the O’s got a Class A relief pitcher. Somebody explain to me the  wisdom of forfeiture.

An early second half goal by sophomore Jasmyne Spencer lifted the University of Maryland women’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory at American Wednesday afternoon. With the win the Terps remain undefeated in 2009 with a 6-0 record.

Terrapintimes.com reports tonight that tomorrow Gary and his staff have an in home visit with Rivals #10 Center Damontre Harris (6’9″ 205).  Harris though having the Terps as one of his top 5 choices does not list Maryland as a leader. Perhaps things will change after the visit. Stay tuned.

There is no sense dwelling on the negative. After upset losses by Duke and UVA last week, the Terrapins must focus on JMU coming off a 12-2 Season last year. Caleb Porzel is out again for this week, but punt retuner Tony Logan returns.
