The Lady Terps (Lacrosse) earned the #2 seed in the NCAA tourney with its 19-0 undefeated season. The first game is against Colgate on Sunday at the Field Hockey Complex at College Park. Northwestern, Pemm, Virginia, and Duke are in the other half of the draw.

Ricky Hatton was literally beaten unconscious Saturday night by Manny Pacquiao. With just a few seconds left in Round 2, Hatton caught one on the jaw and barely realized what happened.
Goalie Brian Phipps came through with a stellar 11 save performance Saturday, helping the Terps to a 10-6 victory. travis Reed tallied 2 goals with one assist. Maryalnd must wait for the selection committee’s decision on Sunday night at 9PM. Ironically Loyola’s loss at Hopkins might be the result that tosses Maryland into the Tournament.
The Lady Terps moved to 19-0 defeating the Ivy League Tigers Saturday on Senior Day at the Field Hockey Complex. Caitlyn McFadden (a guest on last Thursday night’s Terp Talk) scored 4 goals for Maryland. Now the Terps await the NCAA selection show tonight at 10PM to see what their hopeful run to the title will entail.
It is clear the Ravens starting QB is Joe Flacco. But now it is not so clear who is the backup. The Ravens signed John Beck to a 1 year deal. Beck started several games for OC Cam Cameron during his brief Miami tenure.
