These are just some thoughts I have.
No deferral of the coin flip Saturday. We must get the lead against Cal or it could get ugly.
Kenny Tate should be given a chance to return kickoffs.
Darrius on punt returns–one more chance to get the ball in his hands.
The Terps have to take some chances blitzing the QB. Lack of a pass rush is killing us.
Script 10 play series for Josh Portis. One play in and out … Read More »
My first Oriole post in a long time but it was motivated by Aubrey Huff passing 100 RBI barrier tonight in the O’s 14-3 win over Cleveland. 316 BA, 102 rbis, and 31 HRs—he certainly should be a must in the lineup for the next few years. Despite Millar’s desire to remain an Oriole, there is no room for him in this suddenly packed lineup. Get some pitching Andy. The stars are aligned in the O’s favor!!!
Everyone knows I take Terp losses real hard, so I was not in the best of moods Sunday as I drove to the stadium to watch what i thought would be a Ravens uninspired loss. This is the lesson I learned: I will never pay attention to preseason games again. #20 #22 #21 and unfortunately #86 all played (Reed, Rolle, McCallister and Heap) and the Ravens behind brilliant play stratgy from OC Cam Cameron dominated Cinci. Flacco displayed tremendous poise … Read More »
With the MTS game 24 hours old, Coach Friedgen must quickly begin the recovery process. From terrapin times comes the following from the Coach:” We’ve talked about there may be a few changes,” he said. “We’ll have to see. I’m going to kind of marinate overnight on that and think about it and see if we can get some guys in the right spots, maybe. And get a little more production. I think there are a couple of spots on … Read More »
This loss hurts deeply. Maryland’s failure to cope with the spread offenseled to total domination by the Blue Raiders. Chris Turner was generally ineffective, throwing 3 interceptions . DaRel Scott rushed for 123 yds on only 11 carries. Obi Egekeze again missed a crucial tieing FG. Darrius only was involved in 3 plays.Pass rush was non-existent. This can go on and on. Next Saturday vs Cal will be a gut check game for the Terps. The season must … Read More »
The Terps play what I believe is a pivotal game tonight going into Mid Tennessee St as a heavy favorite. Chris Turner gets the nod as QB and my only fear in this game is an injury to Chris. Barring that disaster Terps 31 MTS 3. Men’s Soccer defeated Hartford 3-0 behing Will Swaim’s shutout. Katie O’Donnell scored 4 goals in leading the Lady Terps to a 8-1 win over Old Dominion in field hockey.

27 Sports, 1 Team and now 1 outfitter. Debbie Yow announced yesterday that a deal had been reached with Under Armour to outfit all 27 of Maryland’s teams. Kevin Plank, former member of the Terrapin football team and now CEO of the Maryland based company had this to say:”Today is not as much about Under Armour as it is about the University of Maryland. We can count on having one brand that carries across all 27 sports that reflect … Read More »
Coach Friedgen had the following to say concerning Jordan Steffey: “Because yesterday was a holiday, he got X-rayed this morning. He was unable to practice last night, so I would say he’s probably questionable for [Saturday’s] game. Obviously, he’s having trouble taking snaps, and he’s having trouble handing off, so to me, that’s a concern. We’ll see how he is today, but right now we don’t think he’ll be able to practice today.” The Coach touched on another … Read More »
