The thrill is in the air at Comcast. This is a genuinely entertaining tam to watch. Tonight after getting off to a slow start, Eric Hayes caught fire scoring 7 points in a minute and the Terps never looked back. Once again Baltimore’s Sean Mosley had a terrific all around game–stealing the ball, passing rebounding and scoring. This kid has arrived. The 2 freshman who seem to be splitting one of the big men positions combined for 12 points and … Read More »

Finally after months of discussion and anticipation, Greivis Vasquez and the Maryland Terrapins return to the hardwood at 8PM at the Comcast Center. With the addition of James Padgett and Jordan Williams, the Terps have solved the big man problem they faced last year. I will blog live from the game tonight and certainly will have a post game summary with interviews.
It’s only an exhibition game but every Terrapin fan greatly anticipates tonight’s game. My guess for the starting lineup will be Bowie, Greivis, Sean Mosley, Landon, and Dino at the 5. I would not be shocked if Gary starts Eric Hayes over Adrian Bowie, simply because Eric is a Senior. I am sure that Freshmen James Padgett and Jordan Williams will each get significant PT tonight. I certainly will be at the game tonight and probably will be blogging live. … Read More »
The best news of the day is the return of the offensive prowess of Senior guard Eric Hayes who has been nursing a turf toe. Eric seems to have found his shooting which will be so crucial for the Terps. Steve Goins sat out the practice with knee problems. Jordan Williams’ play was certainly improved over last week. Mosley and Padgett continued their tough as nails game. Padgett will get strong PT for a Freshman.Tuesday night can’t come soon enough. … Read More »

It was an impressive scrimmage where the pace and quality of play was all out for 40 minutes. Some observations.
Sean Mosley’s floor game was sensational as he finished with 21 points and 10 assists. Sean had many fast break passes that were perfect and led to snowbird layups.
When I first saw James Padgett dominate the Towson Under Armour game with his inside moves , I could not get too excited because of the level of competition. But yeaterday … Read More »
Last year, Baltimore’s Sean Mosley certainly proved he could play on the ACC level. His defense was excellent. His court sense was unmatched by anyone on the team. He did so many little things that don’t show up in the stats. Howver his offenseive output was not as excellent. Now , he appears much more comfortable. His shot looked much improved but he finished the way I remember he did at St Frances. I will say it now –Sean will … Read More »
It’s the day we all have been waiting for —the basketball season begins in earnest tonight as Gary and Brenda will introduce their teams before a packed Comcast Center. Thursday was media day and Coach Williams reflected on the loss of 3 members of the program “This past season, we lost three people who were really connected with the team. The obvious one is Dave Neal, but we also … Read More »
This year’s backcourt will need to play at consistently high level considering the teams lack of experience and depth in the low post. 6-6 senior Greivis Vasquez will run the point for the Red and White. Vasquez, who worked-out for a number of NBA teams before last summer’s pro draft is the leader of the team. Vasquez has terrific court sense and plays with a flair. The Venezuelan needs to be more consistent with his outside shot which should be … Read More »
