For 13 years or so, Matt Stover barely missed a big FG. His replacement has now missed 2 although to blame this game on him would be totally unfair. The offense was pathetic for 3 quarters.#5 did not have one of his better days.
The game was so boring it was hard to watch.
The Ravens playoff hopes are in jeopardy even at this point in the season. The Bengals have a 3 (not 2) game advantage on them … Read More »
The Ravens stand at 4-3 today. Why is this is a must game? A loss to Cincinnati would leave the Terps at 4-4 with brutal games remaining against Pittsburgh (2) , Indy, Green Bay on the road. The Ravens will be fortunate to go 2-2 in thes 4 games. That would leave them at 10-6. With the wat Pitt and Cinci are palying , I doubt if one of these teams will get the wild Card.

This is one simple headline the Sunpapers nailed on the head. We can talk til we are purple in the face about the QB roughing calls, the bad spot before the Patriots field goal, the fumble on the opening kickoff, etc but it all came down to a dropped pass from Mark Clayton that was right between the 8 and … Read More »
Forget the final 17-13 score, the Ravens thoroughly dominated the Panthers tonight. Steve Smith was virtually shut out by ex-Terp Dominique Foxworth. #5 was 23-27 and 247 yards. Ozzie’s decision to go with added strength at the Oline is paying off as Flacco had all day to pass. Ray Rice turned in an excellent performance. I have a hunch that we haven’t seen the last of Matt Stover. Before I forget Todd Heap returned to the team after a 3 … Read More »
Last night proved to me why I hate exhibition football. Some points about the game:
There has been a big upgrade in fireworks disply during the pre-game.
The starting defense so overmatched the Jets , it was a joke.
Flacco picked apart the Jets repeatedly.
Great Statue of Liberty play to get a TD for Ray Rice. How in the worls did we get Ray Rice so late in the draft?
The 1st quarter was awesome –the rest of the … Read More »
It was like Terrapin Home Day at M&T Bank Stadium last night as Kevin Barnes, Scott Burley, Stephon Heyer, Edwin Williams, Jared Gaither, and Dominique Foxworth all saw action in the game.
Troy Smith put on a QB clinic leading the Ravens to a 23-0 victory. He threw for 200 yards and 1 TD to Justin Harper. Ray RIce and all the backs looked excellent for the Ravens. Joe Flacco was sharp in the 2 drives he played. … Read More »
Finally a relief from the O’s. The Birds are 7-19 since the All Star Game , going deeper into the abyss of the AL East.Fortunately the Purple Birds open up tonight. Mason is doubtul and Clayton is out. I am excited to see Ray Rice and Willis, however.
In the 13 year history of the Ravens, last year was to me the most enjoyable. Why? This team made an incredible run that was halted by a brain dead play by a now released special teams player. Starting with the improbable upset at Dallas, then crushing the Dolphins on the road and then upsetting Jeff Fischer and the Titans on the road, the Ravens played in total unison with each other and certainly elevated the status of Rookie Coach … Read More »
Last year when I first saw the Ravens schedule, I thought maybe the Ravens could get 6 wins. therefore I offer no judgement on this year’s schedule except to say I am not happy with finishing the season with 2 road games. I do appreciate the 7 1PM home games–sanity has returned to the NFL. These night games in December were ridiculous. That said here is the schedule:
Sept. 13, 1 p.m. — vs. Kansas City
Sept. 20, 4:15 … Read More »
