My only comment is that LA disgraced themselves with their flagrant fouls when the game was out of reach.
The X factor arrived when he was needed the most. After taking 2 ill advised jumpers late in the game, Ron Artest more then redeemed himself by catching a Kobe Bryant air ball and banking in a jumper at the buzzer. The Lakers are now up 3-2 in the series. The wind has to be out of the sail of Phoenix for game 6 Saturday night.
Stu Vetter is a happy guy tonight as Montrose’s Kevin Durant showed how great he is by grabbing 19 bounds and holding Kobe to 1-8 shooting in the 4th quarter. As they say , Oklahoma City got its win , the Lakers will take the next 2 and never let Cinderella even dream.
Montrose Christian’s Kevin Durant is the real deal, scoring 32 last night. But it was a few key plays by Ron Artest that turned the tide for LA. Artest plays the game a la Dennis Rodman — doing the things that most Superstars must push themselves to do–rebound and playing in your face defense. He had a … Read More »
When was the last time Artest realy went nuts? Been quite awhile! To me it’s a great signing. here’s a guy who for the most part has settled down and stopped acting like a wacko and plays ball. He is one of the league best lockdown defenders, scores points, hits the 3 and plays hard. The Lakers are looking to win now and this helps their team. The Wizards aren’t going to compete for a championship this year and they … Read More »
I know Artest is a great defenseman. I Know he carried the Rockets on his back. But adding a time bomb like Artest to a Championship team? WHY? What is Jackson thinking. Trevor Ariza was a key ingredient to the title run and now he is gone. Apparently its all about salary cap problems.Good luck repeating, Kobe. By the way with all the free agent signings in the NBA, do you notice you never hear the name of the Wizards … Read More »
It’s hard to believe the effect Ron Artest has had on Kobe. #24 seems to be out of sorts being frustrated by the constant defense being inflicted on him by Battier and Artest. The Lakers will win game 7 but appear to be vulnerable to Denver and thouroughly outmatched by LeBron and the Cavaliers. Let’s see what Jackson can do to coach these guys back to dominance.
I had an interesting conversation with a member of the Wizards front office … Read More »
