Maryland Basketball

The Maryland men’s soccer team will face intrastate rival Loyola (Md.) Thursday at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship at Ludwig Field.  Maryland (12-5-2) embarks on its 29th trip to the NCAA Tournament overall and ninth-straight. Loyola (11-7-3), winners of the MAAC Championship, is making its third-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. (from umterps.com) The winner will play Penn State on the road on Sunday.

I guess I can find something very positive out of this game. Jamarr Robinson was impressive for a guy starting his first game. Watching Georgia Tech and the triple option  roll over the ACC, I am left to ponder a triple option offense with Jamarr, Da’Rel, Caleb, Davin, etc. Some observations of a long day at Byrd.

Perhaps the one sidedness of the victory made it seem like there were tons of Hokies at Byrd today.
