I had a chance to tour all the renovations at College Park and left feeling everything was done magnificently. The Sky Box Suites have tremendous site lines almost sitting on top of the field. The inside seats have clear vision through the glass and yet sitting outside is super as the seats are covered to protect from the elements. The media room is as good as any I have seen and that includes the Ravens. Job well done!!

Crucial!!!! We all know this. Maryland must win today to erase the ugly taste of game 1. The game will be televised on ESPN 360 only. Of course it is on the flagship ESPMN Radio and the fan 105.7

Vernon Davis obviously has righted the bad start he had with Mike Singletary. Vernon remains the toughest receiver to bring down (next to John Mackey) that I have ever seen.

Out:   from Terrapintimes.com

Louis Berman (leg)
Bruce Campbell (foot)
Jamari McCollough (foot)
Caleb Porzel (leg)
Joe Vellano (foot)

Bruce Campbell is the starting left tackle.  It’s a shame speedster Caleb Porzel won’t be ready for the home opener.

There is no sense dwelling on the negative. After upset losses by Duke and UVA last week, the Terrapins must focus on JMU coming off a 12-2 Season last year. Caleb Porzel is out again for this week, but punt retuner Tony Logan returns. It seems unlikely that Left Tackle Bruce Campbell will be ready so expect walkon Right Tackle Paul Pinegar to switch to the left side.We will have more on James Madison on Terp talk this Thursday night … Read More »

I was talking with Gary Attman, a big time Maryland supporter and booster, last night when he brought up a great point to me.  Ozzie took a lot of heat for passing on the likes of DHB, Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks, etc. Though the Ravens need a deep threat, Ozzie let all of these speedsters go and concentrated on the Offensive line. Exhibition season means very little but the quality of protection for #5 allowed him to destroy every defense he … Read More »

Maryland Football, Ravens

Whether you lose by 39 or 3 at the end of the day you are 0-1. No need to panic, especially becaue the ACC has proven itself to be so weak.

Da”Rel Scott amassed 90 yards including a 39 yard romp for a TD.

Overall I though QB1 (Turner) had a decent game.He was 17-30 with no ints.

What was so frustrating was all the early penalties. The formation call which reversed a touchdown  by the Ravens, was the back … Read More »

Maryland Football

Well first I’d like to see them come out in white jerseys and red pants.  First offensive play of the game I’d like to see play action and throw a long pass to Cannon or Torrey Smith.  I want to see a lot diagonal passes so guys can separate from their defenders and use their speed to turn the corner.  Screens to Scott and Meggett and one flea-flicker or reverse if we get the ball around mid field on a … Read More »

The anticipation is building. The talk is over — forget the 21 point absurd spread. 10PM tonight–Gametime–ESPN2 — Some facts to help follow the game.

–I will be on the pregame show with Gary Stein at approx 9:15 PM

–I will be blogging during the gameon terptalk.com. If you enjoy it let me know!!!

–We will know a lot more about this Terrapin team by the end of the game.

—I believe in Chris Turner!!!!

Maryland Football

Although I will never figure out why the Terrapins are 3 touchdown underdogs, all logic points points to a Cal win Saturday night. Revenge from last year, the cross country trip for Maryland, Jahvid Best gunning for the Terps, the way Riley performed last year, the fact that the Terrapin off and def lines are so much in flux—it seems like a easy Cal victory.

But we have #10 and Chris Turner comes up big when it counts the most. … Read More »
