Lynetta Kizer scored a season-high 21 points, Tianna Hawkins added 17 points and 12 rebounds and Maryland (No. 22/23) won its seventh straight game, 79-61 over Loyola of Maryland on Tuesday night. The Terrapins (8-1) took control by ending the first half on a 32-7 run and won despite the absence of second-leading scorer Alyssa Thomas, who sat out with a knee laceration.
I have heard a lot about 31 year old Matthew Paul Miller better known as Matisyahu, but I wanted to see him for myself. Though I didn’t know any of his music, I thoroughly enjoyed his set at the Power Plant last night.
Buck you will never be on equal footing with your opponents. But I do believe you can make the difference or at least I want to believe that. With that the O’s got Mark Reynolds from Arizona, a slugging 3rd Baseman who averagesd 35 homers and 95 RBIs over the past 3 years. But as the Sun reports: “Mark Reynolds batted just .198 last season for the Arizona Diamondbacks. He has struck 200 times in each of the past three … Read More »
The Ravens came out strong, aggressive, and with the looks of a team that was out to destroy the Steelers. What in the world happened in the 2nd half. I can’t get over this game that will wreck out season.
You have to listen to this piece of garbage from Tom O’Brien. He clearly states that Maryland has no fans and that NC State was clearly the 3rd best team in the conference. O’Brien must not have been at the shellacking his defense took at the hands of Danny O’Brien and Torrey Smith. When everything was on the line for the Wolfpack, Ralph embarassed him.
Boldin, Stallworth, Flacco, Mason and all we can muster is 10 points in the biggest game of the year. First and goal from the 5 and 3 of the worst called plays you could imagine. 70,000 fans in attendance and 20 million watching on TV saw that Polamalu wasnt accounted for but #5 missed it. Are you kidding me. Were we prepared to win? 34 seconds left in the game and suddenly there was no confidence in our best performer … Read More »
How can this be our 8th loss in the last 10 BB&T games? I am inclined to have give a positive spin on last night’s game. Pe”Shon Howard and Terrell Stoglin are flat out bball studs. They brought this team out of the doldrums and gave the Temple backcourt fits. Stoglin has that look for scoring. He looks for his shot and is not afraid to take it. The starting lineup is severely lacking that go to situation. Only through … Read More »
Here are my thoughts over the selection of the University of Maryland for the Military Bowl.
My disappointment begins with the fact that 2 weeks ago my sights were on the dream of playing in the Orange Bowl as the BCS representative for the ACC. After not playing in the ACC Title game, the placement of Maryland in any of the inferior bowls (3rd through 8th) would be a letdown. The people I feel sorry for are the valiant student … Read More »
This was a heartbreaker. A packed house showed up at Ludwig Field to hopefully watch the Terrapins vault into another College Cup nexyt week in Santa Barbara. But it was not to be. The Terps squandered scoring chance after scoring chance in the first overtime and were beaten on a passive 4 foot shot by the Big Ten Champs. Casey Townsend played a miraculous game scored 1 of the goals with his running mate Jason Herrick getting the other. Sasho … Read More »
