Dan Snyder must be own Pete Carroll’s idol list. Three days ago , Snyder establishes a new Coaches’ level of pay giving Shanahan 7 million a year for 5 years. That provided the USC Coach enough ammunition to extract the same amount from Seattle. I had the opportunity to attend one of the Terrapins practices a few days ago. The Coach is certainly the most intense, attentive mentor I have ever seen. He watches over every play , teaching every member of the team. This was part of the Fastbreakers night with the team. Afterwards we joined the coaches and the team for dinner. The Terrapins fell in their first conference game of the season to N.C. State in Reynolds Coliseum, 73-45, Thursday evening. Dismal shooting and turnovers plagued Maryland throughout the game. The Terps were only able to shoot 8-for-25 in the first 20 minutes and 10-for-28 in the second half.
