I have a video tape of the Colts Jets game from 1969–the Namath Guarantee Super Bowl. Well, when I watched the game again it was clear the then Baltimore Colts should have scored at least 5 touchdowns. Yesterday it felt like it was a replay of that game. Three touchdowns were eliminated –2 by penalties and 1 by a dropped ball of a lofted pass that most high school receivers could have handled. Up and down the field the Ravens … Read More »
Maryland kept their program-record home court winning streak alive with the school’s 45th straight win in College Park with a 76-44 victory over Stony Brook in the first of three games in the Terrapin Classic. Some interesting issues:
Today we will see what kind of kicker Billy Cundiff is.
If #86 doesn’t play for Pitt, they have no chance.
Hoping for Chris Carr to score today on a punt return. … Read More »
Twas not a great day for the ACC as Pitt defeated Carolina 19-17 and USC bested BC 24-13 in the Emerald Bowl in San Fran.
I was shocked to hear Urban Meyer resigned due to health reasons. Arguably Florida has one of top 2 or 3 football programs in the country. My prediction for his replacement—Jon Gruden.
