Anyone who even plays golf casually must wonder, how can Tiger continue to make crucial shot after crucial shot. His tenacity, confidence, air of invincibility maybe even exceeds MJ. However, it’s time to shut it down for at least a couple of months for a proper healing process. Tiger should skip the British Open to ready himself for the PGA and the one Achilles heel to his repertoire, the Ryder Cup.

Fathers Day 2008—-Gus Gilchrist is going to South Florida, thus ending a bizarre turn of events that leaves the Terps without the young phenom and not really understanding why. His eligibilty at USF remains to be answered but at this point who cares. Meanwhile the Terps anxiously await the final answer on Sean Mosley as his test scores are due within 7 days.

What a great father’s day this will be!!!! I’m going out to Camden yards to see if the O’s can shake this Sunday curse that has befallen thm. Two runs in the bottom of the 9th gave the O’s the victory. This team has more character then the last 10 combined!!!Potential pitching problems loom om the horizon.
I watched Tiger’s entire round on Saturday and have concluded that his last nine holes was the most inspiring … Read More »
Shooting 30 on the back nine is incredible even for Tiger. But doing it on one good leg sets him apart from all athletes. After 2 days , Tiger is but one stroke behind the leader Stuart Appleby. He tees off at 5;50 PM on Saturday. Speaking of one good pin–Kevin Millar, playing with a painful knee injury had the key hit as usual, a 2 run single in the 5th to draw the O’s close before a sold … Read More »
The dreaded ankle injury might cause Greivis to miss the 3 months of summer ball. From terrapin times.com comes the rumors that perhaps Gilchrist might not be leaving. If you analyze what he is doing –it does seem somewhat bizarre. Apparently he wants to enroll at South Florida. If he succeeds he would have to sit out next year and all he would gain would be an extra semester. For the Terps, he would be ready this Dec … Read More »
Last night at the REM Concert at Merriweather, I ran into Danny Matta, owner of Great Seats, a sponsor , and one of my good friends. Of course Danny was in the 2nd row, the only person sitting down like myself. I quote from Danny :You really missed the Lakers Celts didn’t you." I guess the old adage that defense wins championships stands. This series is not over —no the Lakers look to be in trouble but can Gasol, … Read More »
Sasha Vujavic’s 20 points off the bench helped lead the Lakers to a 87-81 win over Boston to move the series to 2-1 in favor of the Celtics. For whatever reason reserve players never seem to do as well on the road and the calls definitely favor the home team. last night was no exception. The Lakers are not getting any major production from anyone except Kobe. This does not bode well for Phil’s quest for his 10th … Read More »
Gilbert Arenas has declared himself a free agent as expected. Though Gil has expressed interest in returning to the Wizards, he has set forth a demand that Antawn Jamison must be resigned. Not bad–here’s a guy who has basically missed the last 2 seasons with injuries putting the club he loves in a death grip having to sign a player he likes playing with. How will Grunfeld react–probably will do what Gilbert wants and thereby throw the entire organization … Read More »
Not a great weekend o predictions for me. In his quest to become the first triple crown winner in 30 years,, Big Brown just seemed to run out of gas, allowing Da Tara to ease his way to a huge upset victory!!! Was it 3 races in 5 weeks? Was it Dutrow ceasing steroid shots? Was it the hoof problem? Was it the jockey’s fault–the blame will surely be discussed for years to school.
