Team USA bounced back from a 2-1 deficit in the 3rd period to defeat Canada in OT for the Gold. Jocelyn LaMoureaux scored the winning penalty shot for USA before Rooney mas a spectacular save to grab the victory.

Mikaela Shiffrin captured the Silver Medal in the Women’s Combined (Downhill–Slalom). Lindsay Vonn who led after the downhill portion, failed to complete the Slalom and thus missed the medal stand in the final Olympic race of her career.
