Jin Soo has played his last game for the Terps. Jin Soo Choi has announced his intention to leave the University of Maryland and pursue a basketball career in his native Korea, head coach Gary Williams said Tuesday.
“After speaking with my family, we decided it would be best to continue my basketball career in Korea,” said Choi. “I want to thank the coaches and especially Coach Williams for giving me an opportunity to play basketball at … Read More »
I said it the other night on the Terrapin Pregame Show on ESPN–The ACC is just not as strong as it has been. This will lead to the Terps doing better then expected. I wonder the reaction of the polls to Carolina’s loss last night to Charleston. Bobby Cremins exposed the weakness of the Tar Heel’s perimeter defense. On equal grounds we all know that Gary will outcoach any of his rivals in the ACC. Again I anxiously await Super … Read More »
VIVA Vasquez!!!! Just a near perfect performance by our Senior leader–26 points –5 rebounds and 6 assists. Landon added 24 points. Some comments on the blowout win.
The Terps seemed like they were on a mission today, getting off to a big 1st half lead and never letting up.
Big performances form the bench today as Dino scored 11 with 8 rebounds and Adrian Bowie returned to aggressive ways driving and slashing to the hoop for 11 points.

Though Stu Vetter has never steered a player anywhere and he sure has recruited some of the best players in the country to Montrose Christian (Kevin Durant, Greivis, Isiah Armwood, Linus Klsiza, M Yarou, and on and on), when he says Maryland is still in the lead for Ross I believe him. Yes he was upset that Ross backed off his verbal committment. Also, Ross can make no visits during the season as this is one of Vetter’s rules. Just … Read More »
Some observations of a very strong visiting team performance: The strength of the Tribe was no shock to the Terps.
They prepared heavily for this team. Gary commented that the game was really lost in the last 10 minutes of the 1st half audioGary after w & M.

There is no secret–this is going to be a tough test for the Terrapins. W&M comes into maryland riding a 8 game streak based on terrific 3 point shooting, which occasionally has been a sore spot for the Terps. Gary commented on the effects of rebounding and 3 point shooting: “The hardest three pointer to guard is off an offensive rebound because everybody is going toward the glass,” the coach said. “Florida Atlantic had three threes after an offensive rebound. We’re working … Read More »
Some observations of Maryland’s 8th Victory of the year:
Greivis was stellar today scoring 26 on 12-20 shooting with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. After the game he spoke about the need for stronger rebounding and his slow start. Greivis FAU
Landon chipped in with 19 points.
Sean Mosley sat out the game with an ankle injury but could have played if needed. Gary was saving him for a very tough William and Mary Game Wednesday night.

When New Orleans should have lost to the Redskins, I kind of felt the bubble was bursting. Now it’s obvious, the Saints are in a fade mode after losing to December’s worst–Dallas.
The eyes of Texas will be on the basketball team come March. The big guy is awesome–remind me of a young Shaq. One word of advice for Rick Barnes–you might want to practice against the full court press because you will be seeing a lot of it.

Some observations of of a good home victory for the Terps:
Dino’s influence on the team was immediately seen, The Terps played with more fire with Dino handling interior defense in a way that hasn’t occurred this year so far. He nailed 2 mid range jumpers and played a quality 33 minutes.
Jordan came off the bench … Read More »
I can’t wait to see the energy bump in the entire team with the return of Dino Gregory. The Terps could actually have 2 bigs in the game at the same time with Dino and Jordan.
Greivis is not the first Senior to start a season slow. But believe me Ryan, Senor Vasquez will show up eventually. think back over the great games he has had at Maryland. With the new talent spread on this team , he must stop … Read More »
