I do believe this one is personal for #52. The Ravens won’t be declared Super Bowl Champs if they win. It will be a long season either way. But something is different about this opening game I do believe the Ravens will have Ray’s back and that Revis is not ready yet. Ravens 20 Jets 13.
Wouldn’t it be great if the first regular season game was this Saturday night instead of another hold your breathe that no one gets injured game against the Giants. #52 voiced a strong opinion against the 18 game schedule citing the fragility of the players body in a 16 game season. Big Ben looked like he wasn’t sure what planet he was on Sunday after being kicked in the head. Yet the Steelers feel he is ready for the Ravens on Sunday. What if #52 or #20 put an excruciating hit on him . It’s unbelievable that on Tuesday the Steelers would announce #7 is ready to play. After making one of the worst decisions in franchise history, the Ravens cut the bait by releasing Steve Hauschka the supposed replacement for Matt Stover, the future Hall of Fame kicker. Unfortunately the damage is done–the miss of the field goal in the Vikings game potentially stands to cost the Ravens the playoffs, though this is certainly not the Ravens only problem.
