The ACC is currently down 4-3 with 5 games left. Watch Dino Gregory tonight —he seems to be playing with a different emotion, one of leaderhip. Ernie’s son Jonathan plays for Penn State.
POST GAME REPORT
This game was not pretty. Elon featuring Fr Guard Jack Isenbarger, shot out to 15-5 lead and hung on to a 3 point halftime lead. Sean Mosley then ignited a Terrapin run featuring, all the intangibles Sean brings to the table. After 2 games against smaller opponents, the Terps finally got the ball inside to Jordan Williams for easy buckets. With 9 minutes to go a 3 … Read More »

I never like bounce back games against unusual opponents.. Unusual in the point that the team is much smaller . We will see how Delaware State can handle the press and Jordan Williams.
Through the first 5 minutes, sloppy play has ruled the day with the Terps leading 8-3. Maryland is certainly pressing a bit with Sean Mosley … Read More »
Tonight shortly after the game ends, i will do a Video post game analysis of the Basketball Game that can be seen on you tube. Just search for bposner 7 or Post Game Maryland Delaware State. I think you will enjoy it. The idea came from my good friend Victor Girtman.
Some info on Delaware State:
Delaware State won its opening game of the season with a 63-56 triumph over Washington Adventist, the only game of the season thus far for the Hornets. They have had 10 days off before coming to Comcast Center to play the Terrapins. Casey Walker scored 15 points, hitting 3 of 10 from 3-point range, to lead the victory, while Marques Oliver had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Hornets shot 26 3-pointers in … Read More »
I know it sounds crazy but I feel even more stronger about this team after their 2nd loss in a row. Some points:
Jordan had 15 points and 13 rebounds yet barely played more then a half. He has to watch his cheap fouls.
Stoglin is a gutty player scoring 17 in this situation. Yes he missed a couple of threes down the wire but he is only a freshman. He never backed down the entire game.
I thought Sean … Read More »
If Pitt is #4 in the nation then the Terps are certainly not #39. The Terps battled back from double digits deficits several times but could not get over the hump. Likes and dislikes of the night’s performance:
The Terps were outrebounded by 21 and were 14-31 from the foul line, and 2-14 from the 3 point line but stayed close because they kept the turnovers down–only 9.
Cliff Tucker is playing like the senior leader he will need to … Read More »
Yes I did believe this would be a brutally tough game. We wondered who would take charge down the wire–it was a Freshman … Read More »
Everyone has said it —this is a stiff test for the Terrapins. Though the height adantage belongs to the Terps, this is a well schooled team that defeated North Carolina last year. The infusion of so many new players into the lineup will be tested tonight. Here is Charleston’s projected starting lineup:
PROJECTED COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON STARTERS (*2009-10 Statistics)
#1 Donavan Monroe, G, 6-3, 205, Sr. (12.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.0 apg, 32.4 min)
#3 Andrew Goudelock, G, … Read More »
Eleven players saw action in the first half. Mosley–strong Jordan —strong but Pe”Shon and Stoglin came off the bench to provide solid hard nose paly and the Terps somehow got to a 10 point lead. Stoglin and Pe”Shon played way above their Freshman status. They are both heady, tough as nails and willingb to go to the hole. The future bodes well for Maryland. The Terps scored 46 with 15 turnovers and 5 missed foul shots. Captain Sean Mosley had … Read More »
