In a stunning surprise move, Coach Ralph Friedgen has chosen Senior QB Jordan Steffey to take over the helm of the Terrapin offense. “It was a hard decision,” Friedgen said. “[The coaching staff] talked about it for a long time last night. We looked at every statistic that we kept, from pass completions, yards per catch, yards after catch, interceptions, percentage of drives scoring, good practices and bad practices. We even consulted with some of the players. Really when you … Read More »

For weeks I have been hearing about the future Pistol Pete, Ricky Rubio 17 year old Spanish guard.  We shall see him this morning. If you are playing golf, TIVO this game. This one I believe will be a stern test for the USA because Spain has the guard play that might just frustrate Kobe and the guys. Jose Calderon has had his way in the NBA and will freelance today. Jason Kidd or Chris Paul must score from … Read More »

Passion, hard hitting, and conditioning are 3 plus grades for new   Ravens last night. Yamon Figurs and the special teams led the way to victory. However, the offense, especially the QBs were not impressive. Kyle was Kyle, ruining an otherwise strong effort with 2 interceptions.Flacco’s debut was fair at best, which is easy to define the great mistake of Billick’s Ravens in starting rookie QB Boller. Ray Rice was just OK in his debut. On defense Justin Bannan, and Fabian … Read More »

As the Brett Favre sweepstakes begins, the Ravens opened camp with Boller, Troy Smith and Flacco battling for the #1 spot.  Every time I watch Boller with that short arm toss, my stomach crawls.  Look for Troy Smith to emerge as #1 and the Ravens to show no interest in #4 (Favre).

Though he has relinquished his role as Off Coordinator, Ralph had plenty to say about his offense for the upcoming year–“Obviously, [we want to answer] … Read More »
