– Maryland received yet another standout pitching performance, this time from lefty Eric Potter, and the Terps completed a three-game sweep of Army with a 3-1 win Sunday afternoon.

Potter went 7 1/3 and allowed just four hits while striking out six and walking two. After giving up a run in the fourth, the senior retired 11 straight to carry Maryland into the eighth inning

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – David Carroll pitched 7 1/3 shutout innings, Brandon Padula hit a first-inning home run and Maryland took a 3-0 victory over Army Saturday afternoon.

Carroll (2-0) was dominant in his second start for the Terps, scattering five hits while striking out four. Michael Boyden came on to record the final five outs and earn the save as Maryland improved to 4-3.
